Who We Are

ONF Brazil is an organization with more than 25 years of work in the Southern Amazon, developing nature-based solutions that reconcile forest conservation, science and social inclusion.

Our work is based at Fazenda São Nicolau, in Cotriguaçu, Mato Grosso, an area of more than 10,000 hectares where we promote reforestation, sustainable forest management, research, environmental education, ecotourism and local integration.

ONF Brazil is the Brazilian branch of Office National des Forêts International (ONFI), linked to France’s ONF, and is part of an international network of specialists in forest management and climate.

Acquisition of Fazenda São Nicolau

Acquisition of Fazenda São Nicolau by ONF Brazil, an ONFI subsidiary, with funding from ONF and Peugeot.

Forest engineer with a master’s degree in Forest and Environmental Sciences, with more than 15 years as technical lead for Fazenda São Nicolau operations.

Forest engineer with more than 10 years at ONF Brazil, coordinator of the TerrAmaz Project in Cotriguaçu and technical lead for agroforestry, silvopastoral and non-timber management activities.
